Things to do while visiting Los Cabos:
World-Class Golf
Los Cabos is among the world's fastest growing golf destinations. And it is no wonder since this beautiful region features dramatic settings and unspoiled desert landscapes that have inspired golf greats such as Jack Nickaus, Tom Weiskopf and Robert Trent Jones II to build some of the world's most renowned courses right in the heart of the Los Cabos destination.
Sport Fishing
The deep water canyons at the mouth of the Cabo San Lucas harbor combined with the warm waters of the Sea of Cortez create some of the most favorable conditions year round for incredible sport fishing. Generally, the peak season for Marlin is mid-October through December, but after January, varying species catch very well each month, making Los Cabos one of the world's top destinations for the sport.
Jacques Cousteau once called the Sea of Cortez "the aquarium of the world" and it is truly a diver's paradise. More than 1,000 species of marine life inhabit the waters surrounding Los Cabos and a colony of friendly sea lions is just minutes from the marina in downtown Cabo San Lucas.
Day Trips and Tours
While in Los Cabos, be sure to contact your local tour operator and book a trip to any of the following locations: Historic San Jose del Cabo, Estuary of San Jose, The Corridor, Cabo San Lucas and its nightlife, El Arco (the Arch), Lover's Beach and Divorce Beach, the Lighthouse at Cabo Falso, the Glass Factory or the Cabo San Lucas Marina.
Los Cabos Shopping
Many stores in San Jose del Cabo are located in colorful, old colonial-style buildings. Jewelry, especially black coral, and resort wear are the best buys. Crafts, including pewter, Mexican ceramics, wood furniture and woven rugs can also be found in stores here. In Cabo San Lucas, be sure to stop at Puerto Paraiso Mall for contemporary boutiques, souvenir shopping and dining along the marina's edge.
Los Cabos Dining
Complete with plenty of exquisite fine dinning alternatives, Los Cabos has an ample range of cuisines, styles and milieu. Mexican cuisine is delightfully diverse, strongly regional and always bold - although not necessarily spicy. International cuisines abound, too - anything your heart and tummy desires, be it Italian, French or Japanese.
Ecotourism & Adventure
Los Cabos offers a wide range of ecotourism and adventure related activities suitable for the whole family. This vast and beautiful desert landscape, unspoiled and away from city life, is teeming with the type of activities that will set your spirit free. Whale watching, hiking and biking, surfing lessons and camps, island hopping, flora and fauna, horseback riding, scuba diving, kayaking, sailing and exploration are among the many things Los Cabos has to offer.
