Los Cabos Mexico

The Los Cabos destination is located at the southernmost tip of Mexico's Baja California peninsula, nestled between the deep blue Pacific Ocean and the bountiful Sea of Cortez. It is made up of two small cities separated by a colorful 30 km tourism corridor, with Cabo San Lucas to the west and San Jose del Cabo to the east.

Approaching by air over the Sea of Cortez, the body of water that separates the Baja California peninsula from mainland Mexico, you will catch a glimpse of the Sierra de la Laguna mountains. These peaks form a backdrop to the miles of golden desert beach, blue water, dramatic red rock formations; Saguaro cactus, palms and organic gardens that cover this exciting desert landscape.

Cabo San Lucas is the most active town of the twin cities. It is best identified by the image of the world famous rock arch formation "El Arco", located at Land's End where the Sea of Cortez and the blue Pacific meet. Cabo San Lucas is also recognized internationally as one of the top sport fishing destinations in the world.

San Jose del Cabo is the more historic of the two towns and while not as active as Cabo San Lucas, it boasts a quiet and tranquil setting, a colonial downtown district including many local art galleries, jewelry shops, fine dining and boutique lodging.

In recent years, Los Cabos (the Capes) has become one of the most popular and exclusive tourism destinations in all of Mexico and lists among its perks world-class golf venues, five-star resorts and multimillion dollar homes perched high above its rocky hilltops with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez.
